Elsie Frank Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elsie Helen Frank, who left this world peacefully on February 11, 2025, in Ponoka, Alberta, at the age of 95. Elsie was born on November 27, 1929, in Esk, Saskatchewan.
In 1949, Elsie married Ginger Frank. Together, they built a life together and raised four cherished children on their farm west of Rimbey: Ken (Sue), Joyce Fitzgerald (Doug), Debbie Reid (Dave), and Gary (Charlene). Elsie is also survived by her brother Walter, and her sister Martha, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Elsie was a beloved grandmother to Ty, Lindsey, Ryan, Leah, Megan, and a great-grandmother to Addie. Her family was the centre of her world, and she took immense joy in their accomplishments and happiness.
Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Ginger, her brothers Ernie and Art, and her sisters Ann and Margaret.
Elsie had a deep love for the farm and found great fulfilment in the simple pleasures of rural life. She was a woman of faith, whose devotion to the Lord was evident in her daily life and actions. Elsie also had a passion for cooking, and she delighted in sharing her culinary creations with family and friends.
Her memory will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, warmth, generosity and unwavering love.
A celebration of Elsie’s life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home, where friends and family will gather to honour and remember the extraordinary woman she was.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Elsie’s name.
