It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our dear brother, Elroy Eldon Hill , 78 of Forestburg Alberta, formerly of Hilltown Nova Scotia. He was the son of the late Eldon Hill and Stella Hill (Brittain). Elroy was the eldest of 8 children.
Leaving home at a young age ,he ventured out West in search of work, where he also met the love of his life, Lois Berg and soon married and made Alberta his home.Elroy worked as Chef de partie at the Banff Springs Hotel, then moved on to work at the oil rig camps as camp cook, where he remained until his retirement.Elroy always welcomed everyone into their home with open heart and kindness. He really enjoyed his visit earlier this summer from his youngest sister Penny and her husband Jiva.Elroy enjoyed singing, playing guitar, fiddle and the mouthharp ,and he always had a funny story to tell.
