At home in Smithville on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 Ellen Mitchell passed away in her 87th year. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years Roland Mitchell (2013). Loving mother of Janette Seifried (Stephen) and Sarah Copeland (John). Cherished grandmother of Jennifer (Charles), Mitchell, and Rebecca. She is survived by her siblings Ted (Irene), John, and Pauline (Billy) and many nieces and nephews. Ellen is also predeceased by her brother Alec. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merritt Funeral Home, Smithville. A memorial Service will be held in July 19, 2025. If desired memorial donations to Hamilton/Burlington SPCA or Homeward Bound Rescue (Canada Helps) can be made through the funeral home.
