Ellen Elizabeth (nee Angus) Scott (1936 -2025). It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our (beloved) Mom. Ellen will be deeply missed by her three sons, David (Dave), Glenn (Glenny) (caring wife Cecilia) and Richard (Richie), and her three grandchildren she adored, Christian, Alex and Kiera. Predeceased by Michael (her husband of 65 years), her parents, David and Nellie Angus and her sister, Carol Angus. Ellen loved her family faithfully and loyally. Ellen was born in Toronto and lived all of her life there. Ellen and Michael met at Lansing United Church, where they had started a steel drum band. They got married shortly after and spent their lives providing a loving home for their family. Ellen was a stay-at-home mom first and provided child care for the children of many friends. Ellen finished her work-life at Woolco (Towne and County Mall/Centerpoint). She made many new friends there and was proud of her hard work and dedication to the many successes of the store. Ellen enjoyed her over 30 years of retail. Ellen and Michael built a cottage in Tiny township where her family had established themselves in 1947. She enjoyed much family time there and spent every summer baking her delicious butter tarts and making giant vats of potato salad for many different gatherings. Ellen will be remembered as a caring friend to many. Her sixty year friendship with Janet Daoust was one that truly stood the test of time and serves as an extraordinary example of love and loyalty. Ellen was a loyal and loving person, who always took the time to share a wonderful story and a laugh. She had an extraordinary memory and used it for many great causes and family histories. A legacy that will live on in many ways.

The family would like to thank all the dedicated health care professionals for their compassionate and loving care, especially those of Thompson House in her final months. Also, a big thank you to all the friends who were always there to support the family and take care of them.
