Ellamma Prasad
On Tuesday, February 11, 2025, Ellamma Prasad passed away at the age of 93 years.
Ellamma was born on May 6, 1931, in Low Lane, Lautoka, Fiji, to Kullan and Lachmama. In 1945, she married the love of her life, Hari Prasad, and together they built a beautiful family and a legacy of love that spans generations.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, Ellamma was the heart of her family. She was a loving mother to 10 children, a proud grandmother to 32, a cherished great-grandmother to 40, and a beloved great-great-grandmother to 5. Her kindness, strength, and wisdom touched countless lives, and her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, in the lessons she taught, and in the love she so freely gave. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever be a part of those who were blessed to know her.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue NW, Edmonton. Cremation has been entrusted to Park Memorial. Geeta Recital commences at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025, daily with final prayers to finish at 12 p.m. on Friday, February 28, 2025. All are welcome to join and support the family at the Prasad Residence.
