STILES, Elizabeth “Liz” Marie (nee Brodie)
May 15, 1966 – December 26, 2024
Peacefully on Thursday, December 26th, 2024 after a short bout with pneumonia and a lung infection. Survived by her husband Karl of 20 years (July 24, 2004), her son Cheyne Brodie (Jenny), and her daughter Emma Stiles (Jordan Shortt). Predeceased by her parents Donald (2023) and Beverly (2018) Brodie, and her sister Cheryl (2008). Remembered by her brothers Doug (Pauline) of Millbrook and Donald (Cindy) of Kingston, her in laws Fred Stiles (Alke) of Amherstview. Her nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins were a plenty and will miss auntie Liz. Also going to miss Liz and the treats she gave will be the family rescue dog Peanut and grand fur doggies Suzie and Calvin.
The family would like to thank everyone for for their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. They are extremely grateful for the Doctors and Nurses on Davies 4 and Kidd 2 at Kingston Health Sciences Centre for their support and patience with the millions of questions that were asked.
The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral home, Kingston, on Tuesday, January 7th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A service to remember Liz to be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, on Wednesday, January 8th at 1pm with burial following at Cataraqui Cemetery. The family is requesting that everyone wear bright colours.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Liz made to the NICU – UHKF, The Lung Association, St. Peter’s Church , or to a charity of choice would be appreciated by her family. Donations and condolences may be forwarded online through wartmanfuneralhomes.com
