Elizabeth’s Obituary
FLYNN, Elizabeth Marie – Age 96 of Foyer Celeste, Meteghan, formerly of Meteghan River passed away Sunday, February 2nd, 2025 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital surrounded by family and friends. Born in Meteghan Centre, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Marie May (Comeau) Deveau.
During her work life, Elizabeth worked as cashier in various local stores. In her earlier years, she enjoyed travelling, particularly by bus tours. She enjoyed crafts of all sorts, quilting and puzzles, especially her daily Bubble I-Q.
Elizabeth is survived by her daughters, Carol Ann (the late Russell P.) Saulnier, Meteghan River; Linda (Robert) Deveau, Bridgewater; sister, Josephine Comeau, Meteghan Centre; granddaughters, Melissa (Robert) Campbell, Cynthia Deveau (Dylan Bolger) and Danielle (Jonathan Croft) Deveau; great-grandchildren, Peyton Bolger, Elsie Bolger, William Campbell, James Campbell, Lucie Croft, Caroline Croft, Vincent Croft and Joseph Croft. She is also survived by her special companion of over 20 years, Donald Comeau, Bangor and her good friend, Bernadette Blinn, Saulnierville.
She was predeceased by her husband, Larry; grandson, Paul Larry; brothers, Louis and Denis; sisters, Esther and Therese.
A special thank you goes out to all the staff of Foyer Celeste for the great care given to mom during her stay with them; they became her 2nd family. The family is also grateful to the staff of Yarmouth Regional Hospital’s Palliative Care Unit.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Meteghan Funeral Home. A public funeral mass will be held Tuesday, February 11th, 2025 at 11 am in Stella Maris Church, Meteghan with Rev. Hospice Akoffodji officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
