Elizabeth “Betty” Baxter Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Elizabeth “Betty” Lorraine (Quigley) Baxter, which occurred on Sunday, February 9th, 2025, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 5th, 1940, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late William and Alma (McLaren) Quigley. For 20 years, Betty enjoyed trailering in St. Andrews. She loved her Saturday night card games with family. She enjoyed gardening and she was a wonderful cook. Betty will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Betty is survived by her loving and devoted husband Bryan of 48 years; son Dean Morrison (Debbie) of Sus; daughter Tricia (Baxter) Flaglor (Tom) of Barnesville; sister Opal Boyce (the late Don) of Saint John; grandchildren Robin, Michael, Brandi and Natalie; great grandchildren Ryan, Aidan, Sierra, James, Isabella, Xavior, Charleigh and Oliver; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Betty was predeceased by her infant daughter Kristy.
A special thank you to Rev. Greg McMullin, as well as to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Your kindness will not be forgotten.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424) with visitation being held on Friday, February 14th from 2 to 8 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Fundy chapel on Saturday, February 15th at 2 p.m. Interment will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Betty, may be made to St. Mary & St. Bartholomew’s Church, The Canadian Cancer Society, The Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
