Born April 9, 1942 in South Porcupine – Journey ended January 9, 2025. Born to Lorne and Laura Callahan. Loved wife of Bill Swanton of over 60 years. Mother of Lorri (Keith) of Bonfield and the late Rob. Mother in law of Tracey (Ed) of Stayner. “Easy” grandma of Regan (Andrew) and Bryn Millsap of Manitoulin lsland. Emmett and Isaac Swanton of Stayner. Great-grandmother of Granger and Oliver. Eleanor worked for years with Dr Harney’s awesome dentistry team. She volunteered as a Girl Guide leader, figure skating instructor and with Stayner Minor Hockey. She cherished her time spent at camp on St Joseph Island; surrounded by childhood memories and family. There will be a huge void in our family. Eleanor also loved being surrounded by her Belmont Family. At her request there will be no service. If desired, donations in Eleanor’s memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sick Kids.
