Eldred Piercey passed away peacefully at 74 years of age at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 after a long battle with cancer. He was born on September 15th, 1950. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff who cared for him. Your compassion will always be remembered.
Leaving to mourn his two daughters, Pauline Morris (Junior Morris) at Hermitage and Sherry Jensen (Robert Jensen) at Harbour Breton; his five grandchildren, Lucas (Jade), Blaine (Randi), Holly (Matthew), Bobbi (Ryan) and Emma; his great-granddaughter, Claire; his siblings, Myrtle Langdon at CBS, Gladys Langdon at Seal Cove, Roland Piercey at Hermitage, Bernice Loveless at Nova Scotia and Terry Piercey at St. John’s; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
Predeceased by his loving wife, Theresa Piercey; his parents, Robert and Mary Piercey; parents in law, Joseph and Maisie Loveless; brothers in law, John and Clayton Langdon.
Eldred was a very kind and hardworking man, who spent years as a fisherman and cared for his wife and two daughters. He enjoyed spendings evenings with his special friend, Bill Fizzard, coloring photos, doing puzzles and facetiming with his special great-granddaughter, Claire.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 17th, 2025 from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9 pm as well as on Tuesday, February 18th from 2pm to 4pm. There will be a Celebration of his Life held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 from 6pm to 9pm at the St. Saviour’s Anglican Church Haven at Hermitage for all his family, friends and those who would like to come. Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 19th, 2025 at 11am at the St. Saviour’s Anglican Cemetery.
