Eldora M. Gould age 95 of Big Flats, NY passed away on Sunday February 2, 2025 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. Eldora was born August 25, 1929 in Corning , NY the daughter of the late Claude and Ruth Confer Cook. She was a graduate of Corning Northside High School where she was a majorette. Eldora married her husband, Ralph L. Gould, on April 21, 1950 and they would have celebrated their 75th Wedding Anniversary on April 21, 2025. She was an active member of The Big Flats United Methodist Church and Big Flats Fire Department Auxiliary. Eldora loved playing the organ, playing cards , bowling, camping, gardening , and arranging flowers. She loved feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. Eldora volunteered at The Arnot Ogden Medical Center where she knitted caps for newborn babies and was recognized for her being such a dedicated volunteer. She was pre-deceased by her brothers and sisters and her son-in-law Ken Moss. Eldora loved her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren who were her “Angels” and “Great Angels”. Eldora is survived by her loving and devoted husband Ralph L. Gould ; her children and their spouses: Derik & Susan Gould , Dawn Moss , Gloria & Tom Keeler , and Betsy & Bill Garrison; her grandchildren who were Nine “Angels” Heather Moss-Layman (Chad), Brianne Moss Alexander(Eric), Andrew Moss & Jackie Christopher , Cindy Keeler Cannata (Luigi) , Jeffrey Keeler, Libby Garrison Edwards (Daniel) , Jennifer Garrison and fiancé Shane O’Connor, Eric Garrison and Liz Sampson; her great grandchildren who were her “Great Angels” Dominic Cannata and Loie Layman : former daughter-in-law: Janice Gould ; sister- in- law: Marjorie Gould Fasick Ashley; several nieces , nephews, cousins ,and a host of caring friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the LYNCH FUNERAL HOME 318 WEST BROAD STREET HORSEHEADS, NY on Friday February 7, 2025 from 5-7 PM. The family will also receive friends on Saturday February 8, 2025 at The First United Methodist Church Hillview Drive in Big Flats, NY from 11 AM until 12 Noon. Mrs. Gould’s Funeral Services will be held will be at 12 Noon with Rev. Robert Briggs officiating. The service may be viewed via the church zoom link. Mrs. Gould will be laid to rest in Rural Home Cemetery in Big Flats, NY .
