Eldon Wayne Collins was born on May 25, 1960 to Edward and Lucy Collins of Hare Bay. He was dearly loved by all his family and he was a devoted and trustworthy friend. He took a lot of joy from spending quality time with his nieces and nephews. Eldon loved to be with his girlfriend, Sharon Rogers, as they visited together and often went to Gander for a lunch.
He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Lucy Collins; his brother Edward Collins; and his brother-in-law George Glover.
He leaves to mourn his girlfriend, Sharon Rogers; his siblings Sam Collins (Isabel), Loraine Glover, Bertha Rumbolt (Wayne), Beatrice Churchill (Gord), Kevin Collins, Marie Oram (Boyde), Connie Hancock (Derrick); sister-in-law Marina; as well as his close friend, Lori Rogers. He also leaves to mourn many nephews, nieces, and other family members and friends.
The family would like to extend a very special thank-you to the members of the Hare Bay/Dover Fire Department for their caring response.
Public visitation will take place at Crossway Pentecostal Church, Hare Bay, on Monday, January 27, from 2-4 & 7-9. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 28, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at The Salvation Army Cemetery, Main Road, Hare Bay.
