Boyd, Edwin Arthur “Edd”
Peacefully, surrounded by family, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Thursday, February 20,
2025 in his 84th year, Edd Boyd, beloved husband of the late Lynda Boyd (nee Ridgway).
Loving father of Glen Boyd, Christine (Stu) Sylver, Jennifer (Troy) Thibeault. Dear brother of Hugh (Sue) Boyd.
Much loved grandfather of Zack (Jaime), Nick, Meg, Ben, Evan. Dear uncle of Yvonne, Niki, Andrea, Mike, Mark and Ryan.
Edd was a retired Construction Surveyor and an avid skier. From time to time he enjoyed a game
of golf. Edd’s spare time was spent reading and the daily crossword puzzle in the newspaper. He
also enjoyed spending time in his garden. He loved being surrounded by his family and will be
deeply missed by all.
Special thanks to the staff at Brantford General Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener, and St
Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the McCleister Funeral Home,
495 Park Road North, Brantford . A Celebration of Edwin’s Life will be Celebrated at a later
place and date. If wished, memorial donations to Lupus Canada or the Hamilton General
Hospital gratefully appreciated. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family
