Obituary of Edward George Day
DAY, Edward ‘Stretch’ –
Passed peacefully in his 73rd year, in his sleep on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025. Devoted husband to the late Marion, loving father to Jennifer, Shayne (Melody), Ryan, Siobhan (Dayne), and Seamus. Cherished Grampa to Larissa (Jake), Brenden, Lucas, Logan, Dylan and Rylee. Great-Grampa to Braylie. Treasured father figure/Grampa to Catherine, Christopher and Tyler. He will be deeply missed by his lifelong best friend Peter. Ed’s legacy lives on in the track, the horses, and the friendships he made over a lifetime of betting on a sport he loved. He will be greatly missed by family and friends. There will be a celebration of Ed’s life at a later date with close family and friends. Arrangements entrusted to Benner Funeral Services.
