Obituary of Edward Clarence Sheehan
It is with great sadness that the family of Edward Clarence Sheehan announces his passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 19, 2025. He was born on February 6, 1961, in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Burton and Elva Sheehan.
Eddie passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side after a long hard battle with cancer.
He was well known for his talent of playing guitar which he did from the age of six. Everyone who knew him had made great memories of a kitchen party where everyone would sing along with him and he would know every country song requested. Every time he played you would witness him singing at least one song to his beautiful life partner of 42 years to tell her how much she meant to him.
Along with playing his guitar, he sure did enjoy an ice-cold can of Alpine. If wrestling was on, he never missed it, even including pay per views and he would record it in case he fell asleep. This was a passion for him since he was a young boy. He wasn’t a huge fan of hockey, but he would watch the playoffs and always loved his Montreal Canadians, but unlike most Montreal fans, he didn’t hate Toronto. He would just say they weren’t the best.
He was a person that not only his family could count on, but everyone who knew him. He was always the first one there when help was needed and everyone knew this, that’s why he was the first they would call.
He would always give praise when it was needed or a confidence boost. He believed in everyone and wanted everyone to do well. He was always telling a joke, and he would be the one to laugh the hardest.
Eddie leaves behind his partner of 42 years Joanne Lambert, sons; Jason Lambert (Alyssa) and Christopher Lambert (Shana), daughters; Val King-Kirkham (Greg) and Christine Lambert; 5 grandchildren Kaitlyn Ingersoll (Brody), Emily Ingersoll, Braydon Dean (Olivia), Jackson, and Austin; his special sweetie princess Nova who always had a special place in his heart along with two special additional grandchildren, Millie and Konway. He leaves behind brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews which he loved very much.
His family would like to send out a heartfelt thank you to all the kind and caring nurses of Palliative Care, 3B North, who showed him and his family nothing but love through this difficult time.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held at Brenan’s Funeral Home on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 5:00 – 8:00 PM.
