While surrounded by his loving family, on March 17, 2025, at the age of 82. Beloved and devoted husband of Suzanne for 62 years.
Much loved father of Janice Cohoe (Andy), Michele Modestino (Rob), Nicole Genia (Joe), Marc Soulliere (Denise). Cherished Pépé of Kaitlyn Hesp (Colin), Katherine Cohoe (Mike), Jessica Modestino (Austin), Andrew Clark, Shane Clark, Stephen Clark (Elena), Carter Soulliere, Rose Soulliere. Great-Pépé of Watson, Archer, Aspen, Savannah and Emilia. Dear brother of Nancy Rivard (Ray), Judith Totten (the late Bob), David (Joanne), Greg (Marg), Bob (Grace), Pat (Donna), Connie Kerstner (Jon). Predeceased by his parents, Edmund and Rose. Ed will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Sadly missed by his fur companion Joey, and wagging his tail in heaven, Jingles.
Ed served as a proud member of Windsor Fire Department for 38 years. Ed retired in 2000 as Assistant Fire Chief. Ed served his Belle River Community as a Councillor and Deputy Mayor for 11 years. In his spare time, Ed enjoyed fishing, travelling, wood carving, boating, camping, golf, and hockey. Always a jokester, Ed brought laughter and joy to any room he was in. Ed and Suzanne cared for many foster children throughout the years, with a special place in their hearts for Trish. Above all, he loved his family dearly, especially spending time with his grandchildren.
A special thank-you to nurses Laurie and Silvana WRH-Oullette 4 Medical for their care and compassion in Ed’s final days. Thanks also to Vickie and Dr. Patel’s staff at the Renal Unit.

Visitation Friday, March 21, 2025 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Families First, South Windsor (519-969-5841). Friends are invited to join the family Saturday, March 22, 2025 after 9 am at Families First, until leaving in procession at 10 am for Sacred Heart Church, LaSalle for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.
