RAMSAY, ROBERT ‘Ed’
With love and sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Robert Edward “Ed” Ramsay on Thursday January 9, 2025 in his 94th year. Survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Belma Hull. Beloved husband of 49 years of the late Erma (Alexander). Cherished father of Kerry Ramsay (Debbie), Kim (Claude Pachan) and Debra (Glen Pettigrew). Proud ‘Grandpa’ of Kirk (Cait), Brett, Brandon (Kaleigh), Amanda, and ‘Papa’ of Emma. ‘Great Grandpa’ of Abigail, Olive and Eleanor. ‘Dadward’ to Brenda (Bob Elliott). Special uncle to Linda Watfa, Wendy (Bob Desjardins) and Warren Hull (late Carol). Born and raised on his family farm in Ramsayville. Predeceased by infant son (1953), parents Robert and Margaret and twin brothers Donald (Peggy) and Allan (Jean). Brother-in-law to Norman (late Shirley) Alexander, the late Clayton Hull, the late Ernald & Jean Alexander, the late Wilma & Dave Messerschmidt, late Wayne (Sue) Alexander. “Uncle Ed’ is remembered by many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to Heather and Jasbir at Chartwell Bridlewood for their excellent care. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario or Top Generation Club would be appreciated. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Daley Family Funeral Home, 6971 Bank St. from 10-11:45 am on Saturday January 25. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 12 noon.
