LINZON, Earl Jack – June 10, 1941 to April 28, 2025. After a courageous battle, Earl passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving and devoted family. Beloved and loving husband of over 42 years to Patti and cherished and most loved dad to Rachel and Andrew, Sherri and Juan, Mia and Kevin, and Joey and Julie. Proud and doting Papa to Eden, Paige, Emmy and Clair. Lifelong friend and poker buddy to many. Earl took a gamble in 1968 and gave up his teaching career to start a sandwich shop on Yorkville Ave with his partner Yankee. That one shop grew to many Mr. Sub locations across Canada…it was “Lub at First Bite” Earl was a man of few words but when he spoke, people listened. There was never a day for him without music…Sinatra was usually playing in his car, on the golf course, taking a bath, while doing almost anything. Earl leaves a legacy of kindness, integrity and humility which will live on by all who knew him…He did it his way. Thank you to Dr. Marcus Butler and the PMH melannoma clinic, Also to Dr. Marnie Howe and the team from Temmy Latner for their compassionate care and support. Memorial donations may be made to The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, 416-946-6560 or Temmy Latner Centre, 416-586-8203.
