Dustin Cardinal Obituary
Dustin Vincent Cardinal was born May 30 1991 @ 10:30pm to Amanda and Glen Miller in Lloydminster, SK. He was the oldest of 9 siblings. His mom Amanda always called him her “Sonny Boy”. Dustin grew up in Two Hills and Athabasca surrounded by loved ones. In 2010 him and his then girlfriend Ashley Beauregard welcomed a beautiful baby girl and named her Loralye. Over the years Dustin has had love and loss, he loved farming and everything that came with it, he loved to joke around, sing karaoke and hangout with his uncles Winnie, Arlo and Aaron. Dustin was fortunate to have several father figures in his life, including Dad Glen, Dad Stan, and his uncles.
You would always see him with a big smile on his face, or sitting at the table talking about farming or the weather with Dad Stan or Dad Glen. He loved his family and was always proud to talk about them and tell their stories. He was quite the story teller and would make you bust a gut from laughing at his dad jokes.
Dustin loved every one of his siblings and wanted the best for them as any big brother would, and always took pride in taking care of his mom in the months before his passing.
He loved his Granny very much and would often be her chauffeur to town on the back roads.
In 2007-2008 school year he met Amanda and they fell in love. Although they went their separate ways they reconnected in 2020, dated for 4 years and got engaged.
He loved all his nieces and nephews and always thought of them as his own.
Often you would find him in the field sorting cows or fixing fence, doing what he loved, whether it was in two hills with dad Stan and Arlo or in Athabasca with dad Glen and grandma Pat and grandpa Bud.
Spring and fall were always his favorite times of the year because that meant Seeding and Harvest.
He had a very big heart and loved with all he had, he’d laugh when you laughed, cried when you cried, that’s just the type of man he was, always full of love.
Dustin is survived by his loving parents Amanda and Glen Miller, His daughter Loralye Cardinal along with his Siblings Jasmine (Shane) Allnutt, Billy (Naomi) Cardinal, Presley Cardinal, Tianna (Tyler) Miller, Glen Jr Miller, and Brianna Miller, Step Sisters Antonia and Annelle. Uncles Duane Cardinal, Winston (Winnie) Cardinal, Arlo (Lisa) Bystrom. Aunty Sonja Bystrom. Grandparents Rosemary (Granny) Stan Bystrom, Donnie Cardinal, Pat and Bud Miller, Hubert Pahtayken, Shermie Pahtayken.
As well as numerous nieces and nephews, with many relations near and far. Dustin also had many friends near and far.
He was predeceased by his siblings Preston Cardinal (1998), Austin Miller (2001), Uncle Aaron Bystrom (2021), Cousin Trent Angus (2022) as well as several Kokoms and Mosoms.
We love you Dusty, we miss and love you dearly.
So, this isn’t good-bye, this is see you later.
