Kennedy, Duncan St. Clair- 85 of Pleasant Harbour, passed away peacefully on Sunday March 2, 2025 surrounded by his family. Born in Pleasant Harbour on October 8, 1939, he was a son of the late Harry and Anne (VanBuskirk) Kennedy. After high school Duncan went to work at the Nova Scotia Hospital. From there he filled out an application to join the ROTP but ended up accepting a job at the Credit Union. He started out as a teller and eventually ended up as the Manager of the Dartmouth Community Credit Union until his retirement in 1984. From there he opened up a photoshop, 2 sun tan salons, dealt in real estate and formed B&P Enterprises. Eventually retiring back to Pleasant Harbour in 1994. Duncan loved his family, he loved working in the woods, fishing, hunting, boating, skidooing, and spending time at the camp with his best friend Weldon Bowser “Bowse”. He also loved to sing and play the harmonica. He loved planting flowers and growing a garden every year. He was also a member of Eastern Star Masonic Lodge and recently received his 50 year jewel. He was always willing to lend a hand to help others and he was very generous with his donations to various charities. He was a proud and faithful member of St. Peters Anglican Church. Our hearts are broken. He will be lovingly remembered and never forgotten by his wife of 62 years, Jean Nellie Kennedy (Baxland), his children Lisa (Mike Bezanson), Duncan Jr., Krista and his grandchildren; Alanna, James and Shelby, his great grandchildren; Ariel, Leia, Aubree and Koby.
