It is with heavy hearts that we announce Irwin’s passing on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, after a courageous battle. Beloved husband of Donna for fifty-five years. Loving and special father of Daniel (Francine), Alyssa (Jean-Michel), and Jeremy. Proud grandpa of Marcus, Braden, Jonas, Jesse, Chanda, and Olivia. Brother of George (Ellie). Dearest son of the late Rose and the late Harry. Irwin will be very fondly remembered by his family and friends for his warmth, humour, love of work as a urologist, and his passion for music and sports. Heartfelt gratitude to the caring staff of 6 South at Maimonides Geriatric Centre for their care kindness and devotion, as well as his caregivers, Dada and Vlad. Profound thanks to Alzheimer Groupe A.G.I. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Friday, May 23 at 12:00 noon. Burial at the Dorshei Emet Reconstructionist Congregation Section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield. Shiva at his home, Friday following burial until 5:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., and Sunday and Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Donations in Irwin’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer Groupe A.G.I., (514) 485-7233, or to the Donald Berman Maimonides Foundation, (514) 483-2121 ext.: 72207.
