Obituary for Dr. Carolyn Cathleen Rosenczweig
September 26, 1972 – January 1, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dr. Carolyn Cathleen Rosenczweig, who left us on January 1, 2025, at the age of 52. Born on September 26, 1972, in Toronto, Canada, Carolyn was a devoted mother, cherished daughter, beloved sister, and a dedicated professional who touched many lives.
Carolyn is survived by her two children, Nate and Noah, her brother Alex, and her mother Anna. She lived a life full of love for her family, especially her children, who were her greatest pride and joy.
A talented and compassionate emergency physician at Langley Memorial Hospital, Carolyn was known for her unwavering dedication to her patients and her ability to bring comfort during some of life’s most challenging moments. She was a true healer, both in and out of the hospital. Outside of medicine, she expressed her creativity in many ways, as a painter, musician, and comedian, leaving a mark on those who were lucky enough to witness her artistry and humor. She was also a multi talented athlete and decorated lifeguard before her career in medicine.
Carolyn’s passions for medicine and her children were her greatest sources of fulfillment. Her spirit of kindness, generosity, and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of life will be held in Carolyn’s honor with close family and friends on February 1, 2025 at the West Langley Hall from 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to support her children, Nate and Noah, as they navigate life without their incredible mother.
Carolyn’s legacy of love, compassion, and creativity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
