On Monday January 6th, 2025 after a brave fight with cancer at Bluewater Health, Doug Kemsley passed away peacefully at the age of 64 surrounded by his loving family. He is survived by Tom (Cheryl) Kemsley of Glendon, Alberta and Rick (Pamela) Kemsley of Sarnia, Ontario; 3 Nephews Ryan, David (Jessica) and Tom Jr. (Amanda); 5 great nieces and nephews Emelia, Slade, Ila, Weston and Adeline. Doug is predeceased by his parents David and Arlene Kemsley. Doug was a long standing member of UA local 663 where he worked as a pipe fitter and welder. As per Doug’s wishes no service will be held and a private burial will take place. Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia. Condolences and sympathies may be expressed through donations to the SPCA or online at www.smithfuneralhome.ca. Doug and his family would like to express appreciation and recognition to the staff at Bluewater Health for the support and care he was given during his courageous fight. He will always be remembered by his friends and family for his sense of humour and his outgoing personality. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
