Douglas Hunter
Douglas Cameron Hunter passed away peacefully at home in Morewood on Monday, March 3, 2025, aged 93. Retired teacher and dairy farmer. Beloved husband of the late Beryl Hunter (nee Millar). Loving father of the late Jeffrey Hunter, Margaret Lavictoire (Richard), Janet Hunter (Jean-Luc Charron), Peter Hunter, Bill Hunter and Laura Hunter (Mike McCormick). Douglas will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Isabelle, Catherine and Benjamin Charron, and Cameron and Ezra Hunter. He was predeceased by his parents William (‘Lyle’) and Christena Hunter (nee Cameron), his sisters Isobel Wooldridge (David), Rebecca McLeod (Norman) and Rosemary Ellen Hunter (infant) and his brother Ken Hunter (Eileen). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Steele and the staff of J.W. MacIntosh and SE Health for their care and support.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Morewood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, March 15th from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11 a.m. A reception will follow at the Morewood RA Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Morewood Presbyterian Church would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
