Dorothy Robeson
Dorothy Pauline (Hayes) Robeson, 100, of Truro, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, in Truro with family by her side.
Born in Weymouth North, Nova Scotia to the late Charles and Jenny (Weaver) Hayes, Dorothy served with the CWAC in Halifax and Cornwallis during World War II. She was an active member of St. John’s Anglican Church (Women’s Auxiliary), an avid golfer and competitive curler, twice representing Nova Scotia. She was an accomplished cook and knitter.
Predeceased by her husband, Hugh; surviving are children, Eric, Allan, Lloyd and Mary-Lee (Hall) all of Truro; grandchildren, Lindsay (Paul MacDonald) and great-grand-daughter, Sydnei; Lloyd and great-grand-daughters, Ashlynn and Annabel; Jenalee (Scott Patterson) and great-grand-daughter, Violet. Also surviving are sisters, Connie, Marion and Ruth; brother, Michael and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters, Edythe, Helen, Hilda, Jennie and Viola and brothers, David and Ross.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation and service will take place at a later date. Please consider your local food bank in lieu of flowers.
