Peacefully at home on Sunday January 26, 2025. Dorothy Sommerdyk age 95 of Spencerville. Beloved wife of the late Peter Sommerdyk. Loving Mom of John (Elaine Bergin), late Glenn, Perry (Lori), Shelley (Mike) Stephenson, and Bonnie (Randy) Norton. Cherished Oma of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lien Mooren-Banken (late Martien), Nellie Banken and predeceased by her brothers Jan (late Toos) and Piet (Leentje)Banken all of the Netherlands. She is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and the Sommerdyk Family in the Netherlands. By Dorothy’s request there will be no visitation. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church 50 Centre Street, Spencerville on Friday January 31, 2025 at 10 a.m. Spring Interment St. Laurence O’Toole Cemetery. Donations in Memory of Dorothy may be made to the St. Laurence O’Toole Catholic Church or the St. Laurence O’Toole Cemetery.
