Dorothy Copland Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce Mrs. Dorothy Copland’s passing (nee Masters). Dorothy went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024. Her passing was the result of a long struggle with dementia.
Dorothy is survived by her loving children; Brian (Africa) Copland, Marsha (Bill) Ramsay.Grandchildren Connor and Carson Copland and Mackenzie and Shelby Ramsay. She is also survived by her sisters and brothers: Victoria (Hans) Meyer, Leta (Duane) Karlstrom, Doug Masters, Stanley (Keltie) Masters, Murray (Emma) Masters and Corinne Parsonage; sister in law Judy Masters. She will also be remembered by numerous nieces & nephews and many special friends she considered family.
Dorothy was predeceased by her husband and best friend Bruce, her mother and father Henry and Bertha Masters, brothers Frank Masters, Robert Masters and Brother-in-law Duane Parsonage.
Dorothy was known for her warm heart and unwavering love for her family. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, especially during the many family gatherings she was delighted to host. Her home was always open, filled with the aroma of delicious food and the sounds of laughter and conversation.
Dorothy was a talented quilter, creating beautiful and intricate works of art that will be treasured by family and friends for generations to come. Her quilts were not just pieces of fabric; they were sewn with love, patience, and a touch of magic. Sewing and quilting was a passion for Dorothy and she had dear friends that shared it with her. Many trips down the highway would lead to a quilt shop and she would come out with just a few more pieces of fabric.
A service will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel Lacombe, on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
