Born Wednesday, September 1,1943, in Little Current. Passed away peacefully, with family by her side at the Manitoulin Centennial Manor on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.
Dorothy was married to her first husband, Gordon Lovelace and then Dennis Hudson (both predeceased).
Survived by her long-time beloved partner Sidney Connell,
daughter Shelba Millette (nee Lovelace), grandsons Jamie and Jasen Millette,
son Aaron, granddaughters Ashlee, Randilynn, Hannah, great grandchildren Paul, McKenna and Gracie.
Loving daughter of Margaret (nee Beaudin) and Walter Morphet (both predeceased),
sister to Harold Morphet (predeceased) and sister-in-law Brenda,
Aunt to Marsha and Melanie.
Dorothy is lovingly remembered by way more caring family members and good friends than we can list here. Like a genuine Haweater, Dorothy had a witty sense of humour, loved whistling and singing to old time music, attending and helping with all kinds of family and community gatherings.
We would like to thank the many healthcare professionals from the Assiginack Family Health Team, Little Current Manitoulin Health Centre, Manitoulin Centennial Manor, and Sudbury North East Specialized Geriatric Services We will be forever grateful for your care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Hilly Grove Cemetery in Manitowaning this fall on Dorothy’s birthday, September 1, 2025.
