Priddle, Dorothy Eleanor (June 27, 1926 – February 23, 2025)
It is with great sadness that we the family of Dorothy Eleanor (Money) Priddle, wish to announce her peaceful passing, after a long and well lived life, on Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, at Norfolk Hospital Nursing Home, Simcoe, in her 99th year. Dorothy was born in North Walsingham Township, to James and Ida May (Roloson) Money. Dorothy married the love of her life, C. Blake Priddle (late 1993), in 1945. Dorothy was the secretary for Blake’s business, and she worked seasonally in tobacco and volunteered at the Port Rowan Thrift Shoppe for 22 years. She was also a dispatcher for the Langton Fire Department and an auxiliary volunteer. Dorothy was a dedicated member of Langton Baptist Church; she was very active in the church and worked with the youth group and mission band. She also attended and volunteered at Golden Links at Brethren and Christ Church, Frogmore. For over 70 years, she was a dedicated member and volunteer with the Langton Women’s Institute. Dorothy enjoyed travelling to Florida many times, camping on weekends, boating, fishing and hosting family gatherings on Christmas and for birthdays. She also enjoyed playing cards with friends, playing bingo, watching game shows on television and drinking tea with friends. Dorothy and Blake raised four caring children: Sheldon (Judy) Priddle, of Tillsonburg; Judy (Gary Elliott), of Simcoe; Susan (Claude Belanger), of Delhi; and David (Tracy) Priddle, of Parry Sound. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren: Michael (Sarah), Jason, Amanda (Robert); Stacey (Tim), Christopher; Steven (Kathy), Scott (Nicole); Sky (Eric), Chance (Joanna), Seaaira (Ryan) and by 10 special great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her brother Donald Money (2016) and sister-in-law Margaret (Peggy Grant) Money (2009).
Friends, neighbors, and relatives are invited to attend public visitation on Saturday, March 1st, 2025, between 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, 40 Queen Street, Langton. Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m., by Pastor Jonathan Silverthorn. Interment in Langton Baptist Church Cemetery. All funeral attendees are invited to attend a reception after the interment in Langton Baptist Church basement hall.
