Dorothy (Dotty) Frances Hart (nee Smith)
Passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, March 13, 2025.
Dotty, as she was lovingly known, has been reunited with her daughter Vicky Myrick, parents: George and Violet Smith, brothers: Lou, Jim, Tom and Edwin, sister Agnes and sisters-in-law: Bev, Florence and Liz.
She will be lovingly remembered for her sweet soul and unwavering generosity, her love for her family, and her welcoming smile to all that entered her home.
Left with wonderful memories, her husband and love of her life Murray, daughters: Andrea, Lori (Joe), Paula (Tony), Wendi, sons: Chris (Lori) and Jason, sister and best friend Mary-Lou (Norbert), sisters-in-law: Madeline and Carol, her loving grandchildren and a large circle of nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Health Sciences Centre 4 North A for their care and support during an incredibly difficult time.
As per Dotty’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home 73 Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl on Saturday March 29, 2025 from 12:00pm – 1:30 pm. A Celebration of Dotty’s life will follow at 1:30 pm from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel.
Wife. Mother. Grandmother. Sister. Aunt. Friend.
Dotty was so much to so many, and she will be deeply missed by us all.
Rest easy sweet angel. Until we meet again.
