February 23, 1937 – August 18, 2025
On Monday, August 18, 2025, Pat Fallis died at home surrounded by those who loved her. She leaves behind her loving daughters Lynne, Lisa (Lorne), grandson Adam, and son Glenn, her sister Cheri and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ray and Gladys Scarlett, husband John (Jake), sister Beverley, and niece Traci.
Pat was born in Hamilton, Ontario. The family moved to Thunder Bay two years later where they stayed until moving back when Mom was 10. Mom loved it there and would fondly tell us stories of the wonderful and mischievous times there. When she and Dad married in 1957, they bought their property in Caledon East to raise their family. Mom had loved horses all her life and was able to fulfill her dream of owning her own horses. For decades along with her own horses, mom cared for boarder’s horses and her greatest joy was caring for broodmares and taking in track lay ups and bringing them back to health. One of Mom’s other passions were dogs. We had several stray dogs over the years; then she joined the Labrador Retrievers Club, so she went from horse shows to dog shows. Mom had lots of passions. She was a great seamstress, loved designing things for our Dad to build, gardening, cruising. One of her greatest passions was hosting family meals and playing cards afterwards. Many Rummoli games with family and friends over the years were played at the dining room table.
Honouring Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Private family service will be held at a later date. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
