Donato DiDonato Obituary
Donato DiDonato, 85 of Moncton, within the comforts of his home surrounded by the love of his family passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Born in Bisenti, Italy he was the son of the late Pasquale and Giovina (Profeta) Bisenti.
Donato was happy to have found his way from Italy and Switzerland to Moncton, arriving August 1965 in Halifax and came to Moncton to learn English. In 1968 he started his own business, at one point him and Jeanne owned four hairstyling salons employing over 40 people. Donato retired at 80 from Beausejour Barber Stylist but continued at home until just a few months ago doing his older clients and good friends. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Donato is survived by his loving wife over 55 years, Jeanne (LeBlanc), his daughter, Lisa (Marcello) Marini, his sons, Sergio (Rose) DiDonato and Roberto (Jaime) DiDonato and his special friend Chris Forsythe. Known to his precious grandchildren as Babu, Joshua (Sandra), Devin, Verity, Celia, Julia, Nicco, Dario, Aria, Zenia and Sandrino; his cherished great grandchildren, Gavin, Jayla, Amare and Rowan; his sister, Lucia DeFlavis of Italy, nephew, Georgio (Gemma) DeFlavis and his extended family that loved and respected him dearly. In addition to his parents, Donato was predeceased by his brothers, Alessandro and Antonio and by his sister, Teresa.
Donato’s family would like to give a big thank you to the Extra Mural Staff for the excellent care given to Donato during his illness. Thank You Angela, Tanya and Rebecca.
A Service to Celebrate and Honor Donato’s Life will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (506-858-1995) on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11:00 am. Reception will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
