Macaulay, Donald Roderick– 66, Pugwash, Nova Scotia passed away peacefully with family by his side on February 22nd, 2025, at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born at All Saint’s Hospital Springhill on March 24th, 1958, he was the son of Ellen Sarah (MacDonald) Macaulay of Pugwash and the late Bryan Alexander Macaulay. Donald worked for the Department of Transportation for 43 years, as well as many years of labored love with his beef hobby farm and snow removal business. Donald loved his family more than anything and always enjoyed their company. He is survived by his children Melissa Ellen (Sean), Wentworth, Sarah Dawn, Amherst, Bryan Roderick “Blair” (Lindsay), Pugwash, Kayla Elizabeth (Neil), Dutchman’s Settlement; grandchildren, Keegan, Jaxon, Rowan; sisters, Mary Elizabeth (Bruce Maxwell), Halifax, Katherine Jane (Adrian) Patriquin, Truro, Marsha Jo (Carl) Blackwell, Pugwash; brother; Paul Alexander (Jo-Anne), Truro; many nieces and nephews and cousins. We, the family would like to extend our gratitude to the wonderful doctors and nursing staff of the Victoria General Hospital, ENT Ward (3B), and of the Medical Unit at Cumberland Regional Health Care Center. There will be a Celebration of Life for immediate family held at a later date. If you wish to make a donation, one may choose a charity of their choice.
