Donald Porter Russell, age 67, of Tusket, passed away in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital on March 5, 2025. Born November 5, 1957, he was a son to the late Blair and Eleanor (Porter) Russell.
Don worked at Canadian Tire for many years. He enjoyed line dancing with his wife Simone, playing darts, and spending time telling jokes to his family. He was funny, loving, outgoing, and a hard worker.
He is survived by his wife Simone; son Curtis (Stacey); daughter Jennifer (Ray); brother Robert (Isabelle); sisters Gina (Bob) Munnik, and Barbara Russell; grandchildren Taylor, Brooke, Kasey, Paisley, Saddi, Logan, Victoria, and Jaxon; as well as many nieces and nephews. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Gary.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Sweeny’s Funeral Home and Crematorium, Yarmouth, and as per request, there will be no funeral service at this time. In loving memory, memorial donations may be made to Friends of Gilles Boudreau Cancer Help Fund.
