It is with profound sadness that we
announce the passing of Donald David
Estabrooks, 84, of Amherst, NS, at the Moncton City
Hospital, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son on the
late Hedley and Violet (Peck) Estabrooks.
Don was an electrician by
trade. He taught boxing at the Rock-A-Bye Ross Boxing Club
in Port Hawkesbury, NS. He enjoyed traveling to Antique Car
shows around the Maritimes.
He will be dearly missed by his wife
Freda, Amherst; son Billy, Amherst, David (Anna), Parrsboro, Tanyia
(Peter) Halambeck, Deerbrook, Wisconsin. “Adopted Daughter of the
Heart”, Sandra (Tony) Matthews, Greenwood Square, N.S;
grandchildren Kelly, Robyn, and Anita; great grandchildren Natalia,
Novalee, Ijeoma, Lily, Bryce, Kaylie and Liam as well as many nieces
and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his step father Bill Follett, three infant children; sisters
Shirley and Ruth, and brothers Raymond, Delbert and
Wayne.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Jones Family Funeral Centre, 70 Church
Street, Amherst, NS (902 667-8777). In keeping with Don’s
wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral.
Those wishing to make a donation in
memory of Donald may be made to the charity of your
choice.
