It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Domingos
Manuel Mota, who left us peacefully on his 76th birthday, March 11,
2025. Born in Porto, Portugal, in 1949, Domingos immigrated to Canada
in 1979, seeking new opportunities and a better life for his family.
A dedicated and hardworking man, Mota spent his career at Linamar,
where he was known for his skill, diligence, and unwavering
commitment. But beyond his work, his true joy was his family. He was
the beloved husband of Elisabete Mota for 53 years, a devoted father to
Joe, a cherished father-in-law to Angela, and a proud Vô to Damian,
Tristan, and Ethan.
Domingos was a man of strength, kindness, and generosity. His wisdom
and warmth left a lasting impression on all who knew him. Whether
through his laughter, the stories he shared, or the quiet moments of
guidance, he enriched the lives of those around him. His presence
brought comfort and love, and his absence will be deeply felt.
As we grieve his passing, we also find comfort in the love he shared, the
lessons he taught, and the beautiful memories he left behind.
Visitation will take place at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, N., Cambridge on Friday,
March 21, 2025, from 4 pm – 7 pm. Cremation has taken place. Burial to follow at a later Date in
Portugal.
