With family by her side, Dianne passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, in Cobourg at age 80. Daughter of late Lloyd and Margaret Miller, wife of late Paul Kenneth “Ken” Rekus, sister-in-law of late Douglas and John, Aunt of late Adam, survived by her loving sisters Marlynne, Judy, Brenda and brother-in-law Phil, mother of Stephen (Jennifer), Jason (Tracy) and to Allison and Ryan, grandmother of Austin, Sarah, Owen, Gregory and to Jacob and Julia. She will be missed by her sisters, children, grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.
A very special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Extendicare Port Hope for the exceptional care, love and support they provided her over the many years she resided there and to The Palliative Care unit at Northumberland Hills Hospital. At the family’s request there will be no formal service. A celebration of life with family and friends will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northumberland Hills Hospital Palliative Care Unit or a charity of your choice.
