Obituary of Diane Williams
WILLIAMS, Miriam “Diane” (nee Morris) December 14, 1940 – February 8, 2025, passed away at Norfolk General Hospital. Survived by her daughter Kim and Richard Ryerse, granddaughter Alison and Jeremy DeKoning, great-grandchildren Paisley, Oliver, predeceased Knox and Hank, son Tim Saunders and granddaughter Kendra. Will be remembered by her special niece Michelle (Morris) Bayne, nephew Scott Morris and his family. Will be missed by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Will be fondly remembered by Doug Smelser’s family, Diane, Patty, Paul, Sandra and Terry and their families, especially Doug’s grandson Clint, with whom she had a special bond. Remembered fondly by best friends Darla, Mary and Ruth. Predeceased by her husband Jack Williams and soul mate Doug Smelser, parents Dorthea and Bill Morris, sister Ruth and brother Bill. Diane will be missed by her many friends around town. She was a forever Port Dover Girl!. In keeping with Diane’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service. For those wishing donations to the Port Dover Food Bank would be greatly appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to THOMPSON WATERS FUNERAL HOME 519-583-1530.
