Savage-Lachance, Diane (née Paul)
A resident of Chatham, Diane Savage-Lachance, passed away at home on Sunday, June 1st, 2025 at the age of 70.
She was the daughter of Noël Paul and the late Georgette Gilette (née Charron).
Proud mother of Sean Savage and dear grandmother of Mayelle Savage, Alisha Lachance, Kyezaiah Coles, Sadie Lachance, Bianka Maheu-Chauvin, Katrina Maheu-Chauvin and Ethan Blank.
Loving step-mother of Caroline Maheu & Stephanie Maheu.
Remembered always by her brothers, Denis Paul & Yves Paul (Marie-Claude) and sisters, Huguette Bennett & Sarina Cloutier.
Loving partner of Norm Lachance.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
The family also extends their heartfelt thanks to her friends in the Pain Court and Chatham areas.
Diane was the proud owner of ADS Cleaning Services for many years. She also worked at the Central Tavern in Pain Court as a waitress and spent a number of years at St. Joseph’s Hospital as a Housekeeper. Diane enjoyed spending her time with her family, dancing, shopping and her grandkids were the light of her life. Those who knew Diane knew she was always on the move, a soul full of kindness and quiet strength. She brought energy to every room and warmth to every heart – she can now rest easy.
As per Diane’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Diane’s Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm at the McKinlay Reception Centre, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham. Words of Remembrance will be held at 3:30 pm.
In memory of Diane, donations made to the Canadian Mental Health Association – Lambton-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
