It is with heavy hearts that we the family of Diane Scratch sadly announce her passing on March 11, 2025 at the age of 77.
Cherished wife to Bill Scratch.
Beloved mother to Robert Scratch (Cindy) Rae-Anne Scratch, and Bonnie Iles (Scott). Dearly missed by her bonus son Tim Lavender (Chris).
Proud grandmother to Jesse, Ashley, Wyatt, and Emily, great-grandmother to Liam.
Forever remembered by her siblings Aline Beckett (the late Bill), Ron Latreille (Denise), and Marc Latreille and her sister-in-law Elaine Jennings (Lyle).
Diane is predeceased by her parents Moise and Hilda Latreille and in-laws Raym and Jean Scratch (nee Baker).
Adored by her special family Lavoine, Pam, and Sharon. Thank you for all of the love and support throughout our lives.
Throughout her life, Diane embraced many roles. In her younger years, Diane worked as a bookkeeper at Elmwood Casino. While raising her children, she started her own home business as a hairdresser. Later, Diane worked for the Ministry of Agriculture & Agricorps as a supervisor in the tomato industry.
Diane was a homemaker; everywhere she went, she made it feel like home.
Diane had a generous heart, a compassionate ear, and always knew the right words to offer when they were needed most. She was a constant source of comfort and wise counsel, especially on difficult days. Her hugs were a source of strength during life’s toughest moments.
She loved to sing, dance, and play cards, and she took great joy in cooking and baking for those she cared about. Above all, Diane cherished her family and friends, pouring love into every relationship she nurtured.
Diane was the brightest light in our lives, and now she is the brightest star.
As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial visiting at Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) on Saturday March 15, 2025 from 1-3pm.
