It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. Diane Helen Mootrey, in her 71st year, on April 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital.
Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Helen Mootrey; brothers, Les (Kari) and Earl.
Left to mourn with fond memories are her sons, Paul (Kelly), Shawn (Shauna); granddaughters Jasmyn, Kyara, Dakota, Natalie; grandson, Grant; brothers, Harold (Tammy), Danny (Maisie), Freddy, Paul (Pam); sisters, Ruth Lefort (John), Audrey McDonald (Johnny); sisters-in-law, Eileen and Debbie. She will also be missed by a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, and her aunts, Venita White, Leona, and Florence Williams.
Cremation has taken place as per Diane’s wishes. She will be resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, from 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place at the Barrett’s Chapel on Monday, April 28, at 11:00 am, for those unable to attend please join us virtually following the link provided event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=392f4b05-c04f-4f31-ad19-e36957e50474 . Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Flowers will be kindly accepted by the family, or donations can be made in her memory to the Food Bank or a charity of one’s choice.
She was so deeply loved, and will forever be in our hearts.
