In Loving Memory of Dermina Zannella

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dermina Zannella, who peacefully departed this life on May 2, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on January 1, 1941, in Monte San Biagio, Latina, Italy, Dermina lived a life grounded in love, strength, and deep devotion to her family.
Dermina is now reunited in eternal peace with her beloved husband, Olao Zannella (predeceased on November 22, 2014), and her late brother Fortunato (Giovanna). Her legacy lives on through her cherished children: Patricia, Loreto (wife Carla), and Valerie. She was a proud and loving nonna to Amanda (Giuseppe) and a joyful bisnonna to her great-grandson Luca. She is lovingly remembered by her brother Dino and sister-in-law Luigina, along with many extended family members and friends.
Dermina will be remembered for her enduring spirit, warm heart, and deep dedication to her family. Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and compassion will remain a guiding light to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Bernardo Funeral Home (2960 Dufferin St., Toronto) on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 2–5 p.m. and 6–8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church (2 Richardson Ave., Toronto) on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Following the Mass, Dermina will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst St., north of Finch Ave. W.).
In memory of Dermina, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, with funds directed to Breast Cancer research.
