A dedicated, strong, kind, loving and cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, Godmother aunt and friend who treasured her family above all. She was a wonderful caregiver with more than 40 years of service as a registered nurse. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday March 17th 2025 at Casselhome.

Joanne Rochon (André), (predeceased) Christine Thomas ( Richard), Rose-Marie Wittenberg (Gary Tyo),(predeceased) Monique Barbe (Yvon), Roxanne Gauthier (Tim), Sandy Filiatrault (Alain). Dearest grandma to 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren who she enjoyed spending time with and treasured each and every day.
Being the youngest and the last living of her family. Mom will now enjoy her Boileau family reunion up in heaven with her parents Albertine (nee Lacombe) and Ernest Boileau and all of her siblings Gertrude, Paul Yvon, Fernand, Jacqueline, Arbene, Gisèle, Gérald et Claude.
As a French catholic, family gatherings and reunions were the most enjoyable moments of her life. Her passion for baking was truly enjoyed by all who had the opportunity to taste and learned to bake with her. She also loved knitting beautiful blankets, sweaters and slippers.
Her retirement years were enjoyed tremendously with the love of her life Philippe playing cards at camp grounds, rides on their pontoon boat, travelling, visiting family and friends going to country festivals, enjoying walks and picnics at the water front on Lake Nipissing.
Mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer Dementia over 9 years ago and always maintained her beautiful smile and kindness of thanking those who helped her over the years. As well as being a resident at Cassellhome she was loved and remembered for her years of service as a nurse and also worked the day program.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to many people who helped our mother throughout the years of her illness. An extra special thanks to Dr. McKercher and Diane Windsor and all staff at the Northbay Alzheimer’s Association for helping us deal with all the challenges we faced along the way.
Thank you to the staff on A1 at the North Bay Reginal Health Care Center for all the wonderful care they provided.
A great big thank you to all the wonderful staff on Willow Street and all the departments at Casselhome for caring, helping and being so kind with our mother and wife over the years and a mention of thanks to Hillside funeral home for their exceptional service.
As per her wishes cremation has taken place and the family will be having a celebration of life for immediate family only.
The family kindly ask that donations be made to the North Bay Alzheimer Association or Cassellhome for the aged in Denise’s name would be greatly appreciated.
