Obituary – Denis Gagnon
January 4, 1960 – March 21, 2025
It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of Denis Andre Gagnon, who left us on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the age of 65. Denis was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a man of many talents and passions.
Denis is survived by his beloved spouse, Ann; his children, Dominique, Alia, and Sarah; his mother, Germaine Gagnon; and his siblings, Michelle, George, and Norm. He was predeceased by his father Léon Gagnon.
They will forever cherish his wisdom, kindness, and unwavering love.
Throughout his life, Denis pursued a wide range of careers, each reflecting his adventurous spirit, ambitious nature, and thirst for knowledge. He has worked as a real estate agent, taxi driver, and even as a welder in the uranium mines of Elliot Lake. However, his true passions were reflected in his time and dedication as a professional artist, specializing in oil and acrylic paintings. Denis’ accomplishments went even further with his remarkable achievement of going back to school in his mid 40s to tackle a challenging mechanical engineering program and later work as a professional forensic engineer.
Denis will be remembered for his creativity, compassion, intellect, and dedication to his family and craft. His legacy lives on in his art, his work, and the countless lives he has touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Covenant House Toronto in his memory.
He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
