Declan Ronald Schmidt of Listowel passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, February 24, 2025, two days shy of his first birthday.
Much loved son of Brad & Isabel (Roppel) Schmidt, and cherished little brother of Paisley.
Declan was adored by his grandparents Frances Schmidt & Mike Dinn of St. Jacobs, and Ron & Anne Roppel of Kincardine, and he was a special little nephew to Ralph Schmidt of Kitchener, Ken Roppel of Tiverton, and Brian Roppel & Shenille Lai-fook of Toronto.
Declan was an adventurous little guy and was the best little brother. He was a bright smile every morning and a big snuggle every night. He will be so missed.
A special thank you to the first responders who assisted, as well as the staff at Listowel Memorial Hospital for your care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
