Wilson; David Murray Clarence – Passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 26, 2025, at the age of 63. David leaves behind his cherished son Mackenzie and Mack’s mother Tracey O’Shea. David is survived by his mother Wilma McIvor-Garrison (Bob), sisters Cathy Dwyer and Tammy Davis (Ken). David was predeceased by his father Murray David Wilson in 2024. He will be missed by his nieces, nephews, large extended family and many friends.
Dave: Son, Davey doodlebug, Davey boy, uncle Dave, Mr. Wilson, or Downtown Dave. All these names describe this man but the one that mattered most was Dad. Dave was proud of all these roles but his greatest accomplishment was his son. He was an artist, graphic designer, photographer, skilled writer and made a mark, through his work in the Kingston area. He was proud of his work and the city he called home. He made his mark in so many ways. Coach, schoolboard, fundraisers, and so much more. If you met him you’d remember his sense of humor, willingness to stand up for those he loved and his belief in the power of music that he passed on to all that would listen. His treasures were his home, friendships, memories and making memories happen by bringing people together. This made him feel like the richest man in the world. This complex, sentimental person brought many people together. He will be missed, loved and remembered by all that knew him.
The family will be accepting visitors on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 12:00 – 1:50 pm at James Reid Funeral Home, Cremation and Celebration Centre, 1900 John Counter Blvd, Kingston, Ontario. There will be a service in the chapel at 2:00 pm followed by a reception in the Celebration Centre. Memorial donations can be made to Kingston Humane Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation in David’s honour.
