David McNeil Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Leonard McNeil on January 3, 2025 at Bobby’s Hospice at the age of 84. Born in Saint John, NB, on November 6, 1940, he was the son of the late Stephen and Agnes (Stack) McNeil.
David is survived by his loving wife Linda (McGaghey) McNeil of 53 years; son Gerald Douglas (Mandi); grandson Liam; brother Michael McNeil; brother-in-law Richard Gillis; nephew Mark (Patrick) McNeil with their kindness and presence; Dr. Steve Gillis; and his fur puppy Buddy.
Besides his parents, David is predeceased by his brothers Don McNeil, Francis McNeil, Wallace McNeil, Joseph McNeil and William McNeil; sisters Mary McNeil, Theresa McNeil, Margaret Doucet and Elizabeth Gillis.
Arrangements are under the care Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 8th, 2025 at 2 pm. Family and friends are all welcome to attend. Guests are welcomed to gather at the funeral home entrance for 1:30 pm and we will be processing to the cemetery at 1:45 pm.
Donations in David’s memory may be made to the SPCA, Bobby’s Hospice or a charity of the donor’s choice.
