It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David
Arnold Crawford on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at home in
Fredericton. Born in Fredericton on September 5, 1948, he
was the son of the late Jessie (Robinson) and Reginald
Crawford. David was affiliated with Grace Memorial Baptist
Church.
David is survived by his loving wife of fifty years Connie
(Tyler) Crawford; two brothers Donald (Glenda) and Harold (Christine)
and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Barb and Fred
MacMullin. He is also survived by two nieces Carolyn King
(Dave) and Emily Logan (Kyle) and seven nephews Philip (Lisa), Peter,
Andrew (Caroline) and James Crawford; Jonathan MacMullin (Erica) and
Jason (Penny) and Patrick Tyler. He will also be remembered
by grand niece Nora Poirier (Harry), grand nephews Mitchell Poirier
and Colton Colford and chosen grand nephew Cameron
Golding.
In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his
parents-in-law George and Meta Tyler and his brother-in law John
Tyler.
David began his career as an Automotive Electrician at Mack
Maritime and then worked for the NB Department of Transportation until
his retirement in 2008. He had a quiet love and devotion for
his family and friends. He loved to travel and was ready to
go when the arrangements were made.
The family would like to thank EMT’s and
Fredericton City Police for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held at Bishop’s Funeral Home,
540 Woodstock Road, on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 6:00 –
8:00 PM. The funeral will also be held at Bishop’s
Funeral Home on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM.
Interment will take place at a later date.
For those wishing to make a memorial donation in
David’s memory, the family has suggested the Canadian
Diabetes Association, the Canadian Cancer Society, the NB Lung
Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
