It is with profound
sorrow that we announce the passing of David Carr (53) of Moncton on
February 7th at the Georges L. Dumont University Hospital. He was the
son of Debbie Weatherbee (Jack) of Moncton and Brian Carr (Gloria) of
Moncton.
David worked for
Sobeys for many years in both Truro, NS as well as in Moncton, his
many friends loved his cheesecake that he would bring in for
them.
David was a lovely
human being with a tender soul and care for others. David spent a lot
of his spare time volunteering with the Red Cross in both Truro and
Moncton and for the kidney foundation as he had to have a kidney
transplant in 2000. His donated kidney came from his aunt Debbie Carr.
In September of 2024 David had a heart transplant donated by
a very generous unknown donor.
Besides his parents
David is survived by the love of his life Georgina (Gina) Carr, his
sister Kimberly Wagner; mother-in-law Ruth Ann Williams; sister-in-law
Paula Williams (Art Shaw) along with his special nieces Sabrina, and
Anna Williams also, to morn his loss is his dear friend Clarence
Kervin (Kim). Gina wishes to extend a very special thank you to his
best friend David Mann (Janice) who helped and supported David and
Gina with getting them back and forth from Moncton to Halifax and to
his appointments.
David was predeceased
by grandparents and many family members, his fur baby Harley, his
stepfather and best man at his wedding David Cohen, and father-in-law
George Williams.
Respecting
David’s wishes there will be no services or
visitation.
Donation may be made
to the Kidney Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke
foundation.
