He was born on June 24, 1941 in Halifax, NS to Arthur and Theresa. Before retiring to his home in Cape Breton, Dave and his family resided in Halifax/Dartmouth during his working years at Westinghouse.

He never hesitated to lend a hand. A passion of his was spending time in his shed creating beautiful wooden crafts, which he loved to give away to others to enjoy.
Dave leaves behind his heart broken, very loving family, wife of 62 years, Marie(McGrath), his son Michael (Charmaine), daughter Laura Lee (John), special grandson Jordan, foster son Sean Conrad, his garage buddy Dave Munday.
Dave is also survived by his siblings, Eddie(Margie), Joan, Judy(Gary), sister-in-law, Sharon McGrath, brother-in-law, Michael McGrath(Wanda), brother- in-law, Glen and many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Dave was predeceased by his sister Lynn and brothers- in-law Roy Forbes, Bobby and Emmett McGrath and sister- in-law, Irene Briand.
